Ok, glad you took the plunge. I wish you would have posted your results because those Intel things are actually driver updates that you can apply by doing a device manager driver update for each instance.

Once you update them in device manager, they will disappear from that utility on your next run.

Yep, all those device can be found in either the System devices area or the USB controller area of device manager. I had a ton of them as well so I went through every device and checked for updates and applied them until they all disappeared. However, you seem a bit apprehensive about making any changes to your rig that seems to be running well so maybe you should just leave well enough alone.

    Thanks for posting your results.

Both of these machines are running surprisingly well, and checking each of the updates with Device Manager tells me "Windows is using the best driver for my device" or something to that effect. Later maybe WU will decide to update them. Right now I'm happy. And with a 1 TB HDD it's not like I need the space.

Still have a problem! Running the Troubleshooter in WU, I got this:

After running it with different "Fix" options it came back with NO problems. Everything fixed. Yet the updates are still there, not deleted as the Troubleshooter supposedly did. Now I'm thinking just blow them out with the "Storage clean up" option in system and see what happens.

Windows Defender does update properly with the WU run. I just don't know. Maybe these will shed some light on this?

Would a Reset Windows Update do any good here?

OK, via Device Manager I've updated quite a few items. They no longer appear on this list, but they do not show up in WU Update History or the Updates To Uninstall list either. Anyway, here's what's left and I can't figure out the device to "click" to update.

And to top it off, I've got more "Pending" file size now than when I started!

I can't help but think this goes back to my original problem Windows Update Error 0x80240439

I see there's starting to be a group of us with update issues. Also still question if the Reset Windows Update would help or make this worse?

I would say not to worry about that right now because it is not the root of your problem.

Well that person (in the link above) ran it and it did not fix their problem. However they failed to provide their version and build number so we have no idea what WU might have been offering.

The only way to tell if it will work for you is to run it and see for yourself.

Just make sure you "restart" right after running the .bat file.

Are you an Insider member subscribed to either the fast or slow ring perhaps?

Maybe it would help if you explain how you got to 15063.296 without the 5/9/2017 Windows Update?
