Stopping version 1703 from installing after failed attempt
Colleagues:
Yesterday, my Windows 10 machine did its routine update, which included an attempt to install version 1703 of the Creators Update (I had failed to turn on "defer feature updates"). Nevertheless, the install failed because it wanted me to uninstall my antivirus (McAfee), the version of which my company runs is not compatible with version 1703.
On reboot, I was told the install failed, but the OS is now trying to get me to "fix and finish updating" (see screen shot), which I have no intention of doing, since I want to keep my antivirus installed.
Is there a way to tell Windows to discontinue attempting to install version 1703? For what its worth, I have now checked "defer feature updates" and rebooted several times, but the pesky attempts to install won't go away.
Looking forward to your input. Thanks!
