I also don't want the CU for a while until I see the problems reported on the forum corrected. I have the Home version, connection set to metered and I haven't installed KB3150513. I have not been offered the CU so far :). The same strategy may work for you?
Then perform what I posted in the following thread, it works, and just because some users have problems does not mean everyone does. There is different hardware involved. I had no problems with it.

So, if I do install this KB does that mean I will get CU soon or will it still ask me if I want it?

Maybe, maybe not. It all depends on whether your hardware/software is compatible. If it is, you may get the CU sooner through the automatic windows update. If it isn't you won't get it until the issues making it incompatible are resolved (updated drivers, that sort of thing). The main purpose of this KB is to download the latest compatibility definitions so windows knows if it is safe to offer you the CU.

This update provides the latest set of definitions for compatibility diagnostics that are performed on the system. The updated definitions will help enable Microsoft and its partners to ensure compatibility for all customers who want to install the latest Windows operating system. Installing this update also makes sure that the latest Windows operating system version is correctly offered through Windows Update, based on compatibility results.

I got this KB in latter April, then again on may 1 and now tonight it downloads through windows update again. So 3 installations in about a fortnight. Like before it was quick and appears harmless, no detrimental side effects.

Microsoft seem to keep updating the compatibility definitions as the Creators roll-out provides new telemetry. We're now up to revision 23.
