Udpate KB4015217 causes error 0x80073712 and fails

    Hi,

I'm trying to install the update KB4015217 and get the error 0x80073712 while that. What I already tried to fix that:1. Dism Imagerepair -> Win could be repaired2. sfc /scannow -> no errors3.Disabled Antivirus (Kaspersky) during install
    4. Disabled Win Firewall
    5. I renamed the C:/Windows/SoftwareDistribution folder and stopped//restarted the services
    6. I downloaded the update manually and tried to install it:
    a) Initialisation -> works
    b) Installing process hangs one about 20% for a long time about 10 minutes or more, continues to about 40 and then fastly to 100% and ends //fails with that message:

"The following Updates have not been installed"...

    7. I ran the windows updater fix tool on Windows and a downloaded one from MS. Both did not help.

What else can I do, to get this update installed?
    Any help is welcome!

    lars985,

You could consider skipping the KB4015217 Update and installing what is next:
    KB4013214 Windows 10 Creators Update

Use Microsoft's show or hide updates tool:
    http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...owhide.diagcab

However, if the above does not work, 0x80073712 [ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT] is known for making Windows not updating properly. Erasure or corruption of Windows system files may be a common cause.

    Some options:

    DISM:
Use DISM to Repair Windows 10 Image

An in-place upgrade may fix it. If not, a clean install of Windows should.
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

    Clean Install Windows 10
