I recently received an update something to do with personal settings.
It makes my computer run very slow.
I used to see a list of recent upgrades.
I don't see it anymore.
How can I delete this last upgrade?
Where can I get a list of all my upgrades since the Windows 10 Holiday upgrade?

This is not a list of all patches for all products, just the cumulative updates.
Can I ask you to share what version and build you current have installed.
Have you open task manager to get an initial review of where your device is being impacted, like high CPU or Disk?

Perhaps If I start at the begin you will understand my situation better.
I bought Toshiba Satellite C-55B Intel(R) Celeron(R) N2840 @ 2.1GHz..
It came with Windows 8.1 pre installed.
At some point the Windows 8.1 got corrupt.
I couldn't reinstall it because I didn't have the key. I kept getting the "Get Windows 10 it's free" prompt.
So I did. I was having problems with it (I forget what).
Somebody on your forum suggested I download and install the Anniversary Update. I did and it ran so slow (on this old made for 8.1 machine) that it was intolerable. So uninstalled the Anniversary Update. Then It ran a little slower but was ok. As time passed Microsoft kept seeking in all these updates. Making my computer go slower and slower.
What I would like to do is remove all of them since the Anniversary Update.

As far as reverting back to 8.1, When I made room for the Anniversary Update (I needed 20GBs) I deleted all my 8.1 files (I didn't think I needed
them anymore). Including the 8.1 restore files.
My task manager works. What should I look for?

If it had 8.1 to start with, you should not be having problems with 10. I have people with ones that had 7 and 8 to start with and no problems with even 10 Creators which is 1703. I would simply do an In place upgrade/repair which will install a clean copy of the latest Windows; 1703 Creators. Use this process, as long as you are able to log-in to the point where your desktop loads. I prefer using the ISO method which is Step 4, skipping 5 and you can see all the windows to expect in the following steps. Here's the tutorial - Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

I agree with mrgeek. I have a really old laptop, meant for XP, 2.1 GHz, and it runs very well on 10. Now I cheated, I put a little more memory in and an SSD. You really want 4 Gigs at minimum. SSD's have really come down in price and I would recommend that as an upgrade.
The personal setting update you got was likely the prep privacy update for Creators.
I would update to to Creators as mrgeek suggested and then lets find out what is causing the slow issue.
Open task manager. If it does not show you the individual categories CPU, Network, Memory, Disk then click on Show more details.
Any category over 50% you should explore. By clicking on the title, say CPU, it will sort by usage showing you the highest usage. (same applies to any category.)
One thing you should also check is your HDD. Open a command prompt(admin) and enter the command chkdsk /r
It will ask you to restart and the process will kick off. You are checking this just to make sure a nagging hardware issue isn't at the root of the slowness.

it's light on memory @2gb (not upgradable?) but otherwise, is not a low end laptop, by any means
I have an old Toshiba that originally came with Vista. I maxed out the RAM (to 4GB) and put in an SSD, and have been running W10 on it since the first Insider release, without issue.
If an in-place repair install, (as suggested above), doesn't resolve your issues, might want to consider a clean install. Looks like the max RAM is 2GB, so 32-bit would be recommended. Is it currently 32-bit?
This sounds very much like the Creators Update and the way it is delivered through windows update. A review of your privacy settings would be the first you would know about it arriving. Once completed, the download and upgrade begins. Your old list of updates would have been removed as they were updates for a version you are no longer running.
You can confirm which version you have by running Winver. It will say version 1703, OS build 15063.138 for the Creators Update (the Anniversary Update is version 1607).
A machine designed for Windows 8 should have the OEM key embedded in the firmware. Setup should read this and not have to ask you for a key.
If you have indeed been upgraded to the Creators Update and it was less than 10 days ago, then you can easily go back to your previous version. See this tutorial...

I may have come up with part of my problem.
I have two lites on the front of my laptop.
The left one is out unless the power cord is plugged in.
In which case, it is red if the battery is charging, or bright white if the battery is fully charged. The other lite is red if the computer power is on.
My left lite is coming on dim white because my battery indicator says 80% not charging. (Probably, a bad cell in the battery.)
Now naturally, if unplug the power cord, the battery only lasts about 20 minuets rather than 2 hours.
So the question is: Would this slow down the computer even if the power is left plugged in all the time?
