What have you tweaked with WinAero? Look at each tweak in turn and see if undoing the tweak solves the 'greyed out' issue.

Please run the log collector as zbook requested, so people trained in reading Windows error logs can troubleshoot for you.

Otherwise, a clean install of Windows is advised.

I have already tried a clean installation of windows several times.
It seems like the problem always comes back again.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the popup message that tells you to restart your computer, and asks you if you want to do it now or later?

Its very annoying and intrusive, and i cant seem to figure out how to get rid of it.

Do you intend to let Windows decide for you when it will reboot?

Basically, I want windows to download the updates and install them after i reboot my computer, but i dont want windows to give me any popup messages, and i dont want windows to reboot my computer without my permission. I hope that clarifies it a bit.

Well, it seems like windows update is running a bit better these days, but i still find myself having to download and install the updates manually. I wish that windows would do it automatically without asking me first.
