    I see, thanks.

I will just have to find another solution.

I can update windows right now, but i have to do it manually.

P.S most of this thread seems to be about making a backup file with macrium for some reason. I suggest not wasting time with macrium, and use aomei instead.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the popup message that constantly bugs you to restart your computer?

    Its getting a bit annoying.

You were on version 1607 a year ago when you started this thread. Are you still?

Why is it bugging you to restart now? What update does it want to install? What's your update history say?

It's a pity you're not prepared to run the log collector, @zbook is an expert at diagnosing problems from the data it collects.

If you read through the thread, you will see that i managed to update windows, but the rest of the issues are still present.

I have read through the thread. There's no detail of your current issues since you reinstalled 'Creators' in post #44. At minimum, your current version number and build number, and the name of the update requiring this perpetual restart would be of some help.

It says version 1803 build 17134.48.

Im not sure why windows update is bugging me lately, but i remember there was an update recently that broke a lot of settings on my computer.

You are fully up to date. You have the latest version, the 'April 2018 Update' 1803, with the latest cumulative update installed.

This is not a recurrance of your old issues. The continual prompting for a restart, despite the CU being successfully installed seems to be a bug in this update and/or 1803. This has been noted by others (but not me, mine just wanted the one restart). Some have found ways to get it to stop. Try this one...

Let Windows idle for a while and the screen will be filled with an update message in the non-active hours. If you click Update Now on that message it should restart the PC and the restart pending message should go away in Windows Update. Restarting the PC the traditional way didn't work and this was the only way I fixed it. I hope it can help some of you seeing this strange behaviour.
    Cumulative Update KB4103721 Windows 10 v1803 Build 17134.48 - May 8 (post #186)

If that doesn't work for you, there are other suggestions in that (very long) thread.

Will test the suggestions in the thread and get back with the results.

P.S is there a button somewhere to disable the annoying popup notifications telling you to restart your computer?

I'm not sure if restarts for completing an install are covered by this, but notifications are controlled in Settings > System > Notifications & actions.

I wouldn't turn everything off, you probably want some of the others to continue. But if you scroll down to the bottom of the list you'll see 'Security & maintenance' and 'Settings'. Try turning those off and see if it helps.

(for some odd reason I seem to have 'Settings' appear twice in that list)

I see a few notifications that can be toggled off, but nothing that seems related to windows update, although theres a notification called security and maintenance, but windows wont let me toggle it off for some reason.
