    Update not happening

My PC is frequently, every day or so, trying to update Windows 10. It gives me no option to refuse.

When it reaches about 56% the machine reboots and it restores my previous version. This has been going on for weeks. I am getting more than a little annoyed at the useless interruption in the middle of a busy working day.

    Help and advice, please.

Donwload CU iso (available on Slow Ring Website or via MCT from 11th April), double click on it and run setup.exe.

I am sorry but I can not find the download. I guess I will just have to wait until 11th April to locate MCT, whatever that is?

Did you take the first option 'Update now' or download the Media Creation Tool? If you downloaded the MCT, did you take its first option 'Update this PC'? If so, you are effectively running the same process as windows update has tried (and failed) on your PC.

The Media Creation Tool has just been updated to the Creators Update. Download the MCT and take the option to 'create media for another PC'. Use this to download the ISO, using the settings appropriate for this PC. Then double-click on the .iso file it creates to mount it as a virtual drive, then run the Setup you'll find there. You could, if you prefer make the USB install media. Again, from within windows find Setup on the USB and run it (you'll have to remember to remove the USB when the time comes for the first reboot, else you'll boot from the USB instead of continuing the upgrade).

This method of upgrading is often successful where windows update has problems.

No, the MCT was updated on the 5th. to version 15063. You can make CU media now (as I have done).
