    Windows Update Not working

Update @ 3/21/2017 1:01PM CST It finally started working. I'm not sure what worked though.

It all started with a USB device not recognized that I couldn't seem to solve, so I reset windows. Then it wouldn't boot correctly so I just gave up and did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro x64. Since then I can not get Windows Update to work correctly. It has installed three updates(KB2467173, KB4013418, and Security update for Flash), but now when checking for updates it finds some and looks like it's going to download them individually but they quickly disappear and it shows downloading updates and gets stuck at different percentages(see attached screenshot)Windows Update Not working-screenshot-1-.png. I've let it sit like that for a few hours and nothing changes.

So far I've tried the following with no success:
    sfc /scannow
    chkdsk c: /r
ran windows update troubleshooter from the control panel
ran the downloaded windows update troubleshooter
turned off to download updates from my local network
    Reset Windows again
    - Ran the following commands at an elevated command prompt, hitting enter after each command
    net stop bits
    net stop wuauserv
    net stop appidsvc
    net stop cryptsvc
    Ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.bak
    Ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak
    net start bits
    net start wuauserv
    net start appidsvc
    net start cryptsvc

I've been working at this for hours now and I'm about to lose my mind and would appreciate any help! Thank you.

I have two hp laptops running Windows 10 Home. Both PC.s are good with no virus or spyware. Today both computers cannot run Windows Update without the following message.

"There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help:

    • Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB2267602 (Definition 1.239.530.0) - Error 0x80070643"

Since both computers have the same problem on the same day, i would think it's a Microsoft issue.

    Anyone have any advice.
