Harvesting and spying are 2 very different things and if you assumed that I meant spying then I can understand your statement, however, as soon as I stated that I didn't mean spying this should have stopped.

How would MS spying make them money? Trust me if they were I couldn't care less as I have nothing to hide

Lots of places sell less than legit licenses. You take a risk buying these licenses. They may work for awhile and then just stop.

This would certainly be true for versions 1511 and 1507 where you either had a digital licence or a product key licence.

However with 1607, the distinction is blurred as you get a digital licence now, and as far as we can tell, the digital licence does not carry any history of where it originated i.e. if the licence was deemed valid at the time you installed it, you get the digital licence.

It is hard to see how the digital licence can be revoked if it does not carry any prior history. Of course, that could be an erroneous assumption i.e. the digital licence does actually carry the history but MS have yet to take action e.g. if they know the history, they could refuse to let a user transfer a digital licence to a new mobo if original was oem.

... as Microsoft want everybody to be upgrading and running Windows 10 so that they can harvest your data. This is the reason that they allow the free upgrade.
well, they arent doing anything different than Google is doing as far as "harvesting data", especially if you have a Google account.
