You got what you paid for - a product key that violates MS licensing terms for you to use on your computer. When you pay $15 for a "license" for Windows that retails for $200 - you have to ask why?
Really? Shit i didn't know anything about that. All I know is that I googled Windows 10 Pro and went to googles shopping section and saw all the offers. This offer was 25 for the key. It seemed legit. I thought i was getting a really good deal. How? I dont know. When we see stuff on sale or cheap, do we really ask why? It seemed legit. Paid through Amazon pay too. Whatever. Atleast now I know.

Hmmm... I guess that key came from a corporate PC bought, imaged to Win 7 Enterprise without that PC seeing Win 10... many companies do that and leave these keys dormant... even if they upgrade to Win 10 it will be Volume Licence.. thus the key will never be used...

Same happened with the Win 7 COA keys back in the day...

Still it's a fraudulent transaction that needs reporting.

Yep, all of our Windows 7 computers in the military used to have Windows 7 Enterprise installed but Windows 7 Pro COA stickers on them.

Well, this seller has been selling them for awhile now. I bought the first two months and months ago. You'd think someone would have caught on to it by now and shut it down.

Does any of them know the diff. between OEM: DM and retail? My guess is no... they take what they get without cognizance of the validity of which... just because it activates does not make it valid... it's just a stolen unused key!

I had no idea. I just thought it was a Win 10 Pro. Thats it. Even though I got a bangin deal on the keys... It's still not fair to me. I bought the keys because I wanted to be legit about it. I could of easily found ways around that. So even though I paid money, Im still not legit. Very disappointing.

Well, if you really want to get right down to it, Microsoft says that the only type of Windows 10 that you can purchase to use on a computer that you intend to keep for personal use is a Full Retail license, not an OEM license. OEM "System Builder" licenses are only for installation on a computer that you intend to sell to an end user.

    Device Partner Center

If you are building a system for your personal use or installing an additional operating system in a virtual machine, you will need to purchase a full version of Windows 10, available in FPP. Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 7 system builder software does not permit personal use, and is intended only for preinstallation on customer systems that will be sold to end users.*

Windows 10 Pro IP Build 16299.19 (Branch: RS3 Release)

You must purchase an upgrade key from Microsoft directly if you want to be sure that the new key will work.

    Here's how to do it:

    1. Open START
    2. Type Settings
    3. Click Settings or Press Enter
    4. Click Activation & Security
    5. Click Activation
    6. Click Go to Store
    7. Purchase Key
    8. In Settings enter the new Key if it does not do this automatically
    9. Wait for Windows to upgrade
    10. Reboot
    11. DONE!

Now this particular Computer has a working Windows Pro licence!

Hey, I'm not knocking you... it's the shady folk that take advantage of innocent folk that irks me...

The problem is, that it was taken for a downgraded PC and should the owner of that PC decide to upgrade (having purchased a Win 10 PC) they will be SOL.. not exactly fair on them....

What we impressed on guys at Eight Forums was that if it is too good to be true, it probably is.. Only OEM's get Windows at that price.... and that's only 'cos of the huge bulk they purchase from MS.

Good news is, Digital Licenses forget the key it got the activation from... so you are good to go... it's a conscience issue only.
