    Welcome to the TenForums @MasterAndreas

While you've posted an extensive system specs could you describe your problem.

Is it that you can't upgrade from 1511 to 1607 or are you on the fast ring of the Insiders and can't move to a new build?

Is it the regular monthly patches won't install or is it a specific update that is failing.

One thing you could try before you post back, the Windows Update Trouble Shooter.

Type troubleshooting in the Cortana search bar, troubleshooting appears at top.
Click it, window opens, lower right side "Fix problems with Windows Update", click.
Window opens, click on “advance”, click on Run as administrator, click “Next”.
Should run clean. If not run again.

    MasterAndreas,

    Have you seen the following:
Windows Update Stuck or Frozen? Here's What to Do

Scroll down to: How To Fix a Stuck Windows Update Installation

Also, go to Services by pressing the Windows and R keys at the same time.

In Services, check that the following are running:

    Windows Event Log
    Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
    Windows Update

Last, please open a Command Prompt by pressing the Windows and X keys at the same time.
    Select: Command Prompt (Admin)
At the command prompt, execute the following commands, one at time, and press: Enter

    Code:
    Sc Stop wuauserv

    Rd /s /q C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
When done, restart the computer and try installing the Windows Updates.

    Agree with Cottonball.

Was hoping for a better answer in terms of a major update or individual patch.

If it is a lone KB like KB3213986 here is how you can solve if Cottonball's idea does not work.

Google Microsoft Update Catalog. Head to the site. Key in the KB you are looking for. Download it.

In command prompt (admin) enter these two commands

    Net stop wuauserv
    Net stop bits

Double click on the file you downloaded. When installed reboot. I picked on KB3213986 as it was released January 10, 2017, its huge and lots of people have reported multiple failures.
