    Windows gets stuck on configuring updates for 15 mins


    I have a dual boot Win 10 system, 32 bit and 64 bit. The x64 is my main OS but when updating it gets stuck at the first configuring updates screen for about 15 minutes. Its the same for the 32 bit OS but that gets stuck for about 10 minutes.

    Is there a fix? I have tried system cleanup trying to clean Update files with no effect.

    Try to run WF.bat as admin.

    Whats it do, I also get a warning about Unknown publisher.

    All my systems took that long on the latest update. I just let it run and it completed OK.

Hi all, I started having this issue recently. I ran windows update and all downloads were stuck at 0%. Hence I downloaded the 1903 update manually from the Microsoft website. After the update was installed, I tried running windows update again....

I have my settings on to receive windows updates automatically. In the past three weeks I keep seeing that in the history all updates have failed to either download or install. Is there a way to fix this problem?
I think the "updates freezing" issue has come up in another thread and apologies if it has, but I can't find it momentarily. The screen shots show what I've been looking at for two days now. Obviously something is amiss with Automatic Update but...
