This sounds like the red "Some settings are managed by your organization" notice that sometimes appears on a Settings page. This can be down to something as simple as using gpedit to change certain settings, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive list of which ones trigger the message. It doesn't mean some sinister 'Organisation' has control of the PC, it just means certain registry settings have been changed from their defaults. The reference to an 'organisation' is because such changes are most commonly found when a company sets a system-wide policy for their employees. I first saw this on my upgrade from Windows 7 to the first RTM release (Win10 Home 10240) last year - and I'm definitely a home-based user. Discussed further here...

First time I entered the code it says it couldn't be activated because of an Organization. Don't know if organization being Microsoft or the company my dad works for.
Where did you get your install media from?

I do not know, I got it from my dad, he burned it on a CD. He works at CoxMedia with IT infrastructure.

Ok, no way to know, unless you ask him, but it may have been custom modified. If it was modified with group policies set during the install, that may explain the message you got. Now that its activated with a digital license, you could if you wanted to, clean install Pro with media from the media creation tool. There would be no extra programs etc installed.

This thread is from November 2016 and has NOT had ANY answers in 5 years. It will be better for you to start a New Thread to post your question.

    I hope this helps.
