    Windows 10 Organization Activation Key

I got a Windows Activation Key but it says that I am activated via an organization. I got the key from my dad and he works with technology, so just asking you guys if he can monitor my computer via organization activation key?

No, unless he has remote software, like Teamviewer, installed. The key is only to activate the OS.

The mention of "activated via an organization" suggests the edition of Win10 is Enterprise, not Professional or Home, further confirmed by the "I got the key from my dad" part.

Pro can be activated with a VL or MAK key same as Enterprise. What does Settings > Update & security > Activation say?

First time I entered the code it says it couldn't be activated because of an Organization. Don't know if organization being Microsoft or the company my dad works for.

This sounds like the red "Some settings are managed by your organization" notice that sometimes appears on a Settings page. This can be down to something as simple as using gpedit to change certain settings, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive list of which ones trigger the message. It doesn't mean some sinister 'Organisation' has control of the PC, it just means certain registry settings have been changed from their defaults. The reference to an 'organisation' is because such changes are most commonly found when a company sets a system-wide policy for their employees. I first saw this on my upgrade from Windows 7 to the first RTM release (Win10 Home 10240) last year - and I'm definitely a home-based user. Discussed further here...
