    Hardware error after October's updates?

    Hey all,

Sorry if this has been posted before but I was wondering about the following:

A while back on the 30th of October I have installed these updates:
    - Security Update for Adobe Flash: KB3201860
    - Update for Windows x64: KB3199986
    - Cumulative update: KB3197954

Every since I installed these I've had 3 Hardware Errors in the Reliability History. When checking the Event logs, I noticed that it seems to be happening at times when I start up the PC from a cold boot. These errors are peculiar since they don't affect the Reliability Graph line (it doesn't decline what normally should happen when an error occurs).

The log is the following (t's in Dutch):

What's the problem here? Is there a fix for this?

Hi dude, please try disable fast startup https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4...dows-10-a.html and then check.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I'm sorry but isn't there any other fix for this? I like the Fast startup option of Windows and it would be a pity to have to disable such an option to fix this problem.

Is it known that it's caused by one of these updates? If it is, I'm surprised Microsoft still hasn't looked into this yet.

Quite a few have reported this, it happens on my two machines a few days apart. It seems to be a phantom error because nothing is wrong.

Ah ok, I'm kinda relieved it's nothing at my end. Still surprised Microsoft still hasn't fixed this. It's been for a while now.

In my experience MS will leave bugs like this to fester for months whilst fixing stuff in cumulative updates that many don't even know or care about. So sadly I don't expect this to go away anytime soon!
