Activating Windows 10 1809 LTSC OEM

I have a system image I am building and I have some concerns.

I am restoring a OEM image from HP to an HP machine with no OS or licensing. I want to modify the system image to add some software and configuration and then create a master image. The system is not activated and it is in notification mode. I need to develop a process to restore the systems at the plant and then apply the license from the CD.

    1. How long will it stay in notification mode before it says that it is not valid.

    2. Should I activate windows or not before I create the image.

    Any help is great!

    Thank you,

This isn't quite the correct thread for your question. For Autounattend installation ask @Kari

You could also use a SetupComplete. cmd to activate the PC at OOBE

Post in the appropiate thread for that - we just troubleshoot activation here

But no don't pre-activate anything - it will mess up the digital licence.

Can't activate Windows 10 after reinstall.

I recently reinstalled Windows 10 and am now unable to activate it.

I did some troubleshooting and have realized that the service sppsvc.exe isn't running.

I've tried to start the service manually but, I'm always given the System Error 5 has occurred Access denied.

I've tried owning the service with takeown /f "filepath" and it didn't work.

I've also tried giving myself permissions through regedit through both of these paths:
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
    &
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\sppsvc.

Both didn't work. I've tried using sfc and Dism they both detect no issues.

In addition I ran the Activation Diagnostic Tool.exe. I've attached the results.

I can't express enough that slmgr is not compatible with digital licencing.

If you look at the VBScript code in slmgr.vbs... eg /xpr looks for expiration (like with KMS) - if none it reports permanent - it has no idea about the Store licence activation.

Likewise /dlv compares the presence of a partial product key (irrespective if it is a default/generic key) with the the licence status (irrespective if that was obtained other than from the key)

As for /ato - it does send an activation request but does not include the digital licence - the proper way to get a digital licence is as follows:
    Code:
    clipup -v -o -altto <path where Geniune Ticket resides>

    @Superfly

The scripts in post #1 when clicked displayed text.

How do you run each of the three scripts now?

    In this thread:
Open as takes too long | Windows 11 Forum

    The V2 licensing displayed:

    Error processing arguments.

    Error Code 0x80070057

If possible I'd like to view the results after running the three scripts.
