Have you had Windows 10 on the computer before?

Two pieces of information will help us troubleshoot. Right click on the start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin). Run the following command in the command prompt window:

    slmgr /dlv

Post the result here, it should look like:

Name:	Capture.JPG
Views:	5
Size:	70.7 KB
ID:	109857

Then run showkey plus from this forum:
    ShowKeyPlus - Windows 10 Forums

Click on any product keys shown to blank them out, then post the result here. Should look like this:

Size:	32.0 KB

with, hopefully, more than one product key shown.

Then it sounds like you need to go back and install Windows 10 Home. Windows 10 installation USB flash drives and DVD's will have both Home and Pro versions included.

Although since you didn't post the results of slmgr /dlv, we don't know which version of Windows 10 you actually have installed.

Contacted MS and they say that they cannot help. Contacted Newegg (vendor) and the say that they do not have product key--that product key should have been sent when dvd was purchased. I will have to chalk this up tp a bad experience and buy a retail copy. Thank you for your help.
