Windows update history shrinking over time
Does anybody notice or can they explain why entries in Windows update history start vanishing over time? I am referring to the update history in the modern GUI.
now I know a major update such as the anniversary update clears the history. But since then there have been a multitude of updates but over time the entries seem to disappear off the list. The oldest ones I have are for 13th September. I am sure that after this Tuesday's patches there were 9 entries on the list. Yet tonight I boot up and it's down to 7! It's just baffling. We have another PC which seems to have far more entries on it than our main machine, it even still lists the feature update (which it didn't receive til end August). Do entries expire over time? Would a new flash update, silverlight update or say malicious removal tool cause the older entry to drop off the list. It's kind of hard to explain but I hope that makes sense. I know it's not a major thing but it's bothering me slightly.
cheers,
Wayne
