Windows 10: Computer hung on "Getting Windows Ready". No update should be there.
Computer hung on "Getting Windows Ready". No update should be there.
I finished updating my Lenovo Thinkpad W510 with the 2nd Tuesday updates and doing some other updates to it. I clicked on the shutdown, and all of a sudden I get the "Getting Windows ready .. Don't turn off your computer" message. Since I just completed the Cumulative Update installation, there should be nothing to update at this point. Also I have Windows Update configured to not to automatically download and install updates. I have no idea what it is trying to do at this point. Can I hard shut it down?
EDIT: Never mind. After 40 minutes, it finally shut down. I have no idea what it was doing.

Afterwards, I began to shutdown the computer.

I enjoy any "Brink run" Windows site as they seem to have lots of knowledgeable, helpful people. I understand that the Nvidia Geforce Windows 10 Forum would be posters with issues but, man, SLI issues, game stuttering issues (with Directx 12?), G...
