    My PC has not received the invitation to reserve Win 10

    Hi everyone,

    Im running Windows 7 Pro x64 Service Pack 1. I have checked that KB3035583 is installed. However, my PC has not received the invitation to reserve Win 10. Any ideas?

    So here it is guys. You need to have KB2952664 and KB3035583 installed. Microsoft just resent KB2952664 on June 9, 2015. If you really must have the icon I can help you get it, but there is not need. Microsoft will offer Win 10 to the people who did not reserve it as long as you meet the criteria.

    If you have both of the updates. Go to this link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...e-issues/en-gb Download it to your destop and run it. This will help to fix any problems in your Windows Update. Then copy and paste this into Notepad.

    reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Appraiser" /v UtcOnetimeSend /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

    schtasks /run /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser"

    :CompatCheckRunning

    schtasks /query /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser" | findstr Ready >nul

    if NOT "%errorlevel%" == "0" ping localhost >nul &goto :CompatCheckRunning

    schtasks /run /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Setup\gwx\refreshgwxconfig"

    Save it in Notepad as ReserveWinX and in the next dropdown make it " All Files". Save to desktop then run it. It worked for me.

    Sorry, that was the wrong test on my last post. Her is the right one. LOL

    If you don’t think any of these conditions apply to you, and you’re still not seeing the icon, you can also try running the solution below, which will verify your device meets all the prerequisites and then turn on the Get Windows 10 app:
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Copy the following text and paste it into Notepad:
    REG QUERY "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\UpgradeExperienceIndicators" /v UpgEx | findstr UpgEx
    if "%errorlevel%" == "0" GOTO RunGWX
    reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Appraiser" /v UtcOnetimeSend /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
    schtasks /run /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser"
    :CompatCheckRunning
    schtasks /query /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser"
    schtasks /query /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser" | findstr Ready
    if NOT "%errorlevel%" == "0" ping localhost >nul &goto :CompatCheckRunning
    :RunGWX
    schtasks /run /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Setup\gwx\refreshgwxconfig"
    3. Click File, and then Save As
    4. In the File name box, change the file name to ReserveWin10.cmd
    5. Then click the dropdown next to Save as type, and select All files (*.*)
    6. Select the folder you would like to save the file to. For this example, let’s choose to save the file

    Hi Really1, take a look at this thread

    Solved Get Windows 10 (gwx) app: Appraiser and Reservation notification icon - Windows 10 Forums

    let me know if you see anything that is different in your procedure - I'll be glad to add it over there.

    There's a batch file that does most of the work, but the 8.1 KB check needs to be modified (it checks for one KB twice)

    I'm not sure if this is what you meant by I can't download a file here, but you can attach files and images on the forum.

    Thank's for the link on how to attach files.

    That would have made it much easier.
    I have three computers and decided to do a clean install of win 7 pro, and update that one with Windows 10 and see how it works out.
    I found three similar types cmd files online that should bring up the icon. I tried the same one your link goes to first. For some reason it didn't work for me. It's probably because of the problem you pointed out. The only one I found that worked for me was the one I posted. I know I really don't need the icon but I figured, why not. :)
