When Windows 10 updates itself, does it go into hibernation when done?
I have my PC set to turn off the monitor in 10 minutes and sleep in 20. But I HATE this automatic updating that Windows 10 is doing, because it seems to go into hibernation when it's done, and with this PC I've always had an impossible time getting it out of that state. I literally have to shut the power off at the UPS, which is dangerous when the OS has been updating. ( haven't been able to bring it out of hibernation with any keys. This is an Asus Essentio, by the way. )
I hate the fact that it updates without permission too, in fact, you may have seen my other threads here, that I'm so disgusted with Windows 10 that I'm probably going to have to buy a refurbed PC now, just so I can transfer everything to a Win 8.1 OS and get back to not having all these hassles and lack of functionality that this atrocious OS has brought me, without risking my part time home business any further, which is on this PC.
Anyway, if these updates are throwing it into hibernation before they're completed, is there a way that I can assign something like the Escape key for bringing it out safely?
