    I would return to running chkdsk which you didn't manage to complete... it's such a basic check on the integrity of your file structure.

    If you have significant file corruption or chkdsk actually fails, you should run a check on your disk's SMART parameters.

    Hi, that's good- but SMART params and chkdsk focus on quite different things.

    Chkdsk don't find anything so the drive is ok + files .

    Open an admin command prompt
    sfc /scannow

    Wow- that's relatively unusual
    So try the Windows update troubleshooter again, and see if it reports fewer problems now it's fixed some- or ideally none.

    If still problems, try Tweaking.com's cautious repair tool (free), and select only the relevant repair.
