    You can actually download Win updates from the WU catalog with any browser as per my post here

    Depends how long it's been there- this is a big update and may take some time - either way I always download the msu file and do the standalone update.

    Hard shutdown while an update is running is not recommended - but if you wanna take a chance - it's up to you...
    this dism command is to cleanup after an update - you may have to restorehealth first before the update then componentcleanup...

    Like I say, I do manual updates so don't encounter this type of thing...

    Mine was just downloading and stuck at 95%, so I shut it down BEFORE it said installing, I know that is a big "NO NO" :)

    I will see what it does tonight although I did see a 400+MB folder in the download section of the softwaredistribution folder...

    I presume if I manaully download it is the top one I need from the WUC?

    I have downloaded the update from Microsoft update catlog using ie11 and stored the file in E:\ in my system. But the file is no where to be found. pls help

    Actually i just downloaded the file manually and made a folder for it to easily find it..Search for this filename in your E drive

    "AMD64-all-windows10.0-kb3189866-x64_2c3e91a8162269579c8bf26a502c620d41efef0d" without the quotes

    Mine got stuck at 47% and also at 95%

    I just left it, it eventually finished it on its own without doing anything

    What was the time difference between both ?..Mine is stuck at 49% since 3 hours now..

    a few hours
    started update at 6pm
    after about 30 mins it got stuck at 47%
    by 10pm it had got to 95%
    about 11:30 it was ready for reboot to install

    *I just ignored it at this point and see that it did a reboot on its own at 1am to finish installing

    UPDATE - so after 4 hours, rest of the updates that were with cumulative update i.e., Malicious soft. update, adobe flash player update etc got installed.

    But the cumulative update is showing as "Download" now.. So did that 49% download get erased ?..Should i go for the manual update method now cause i have already downloaded the 400 MB update through the catalog ?

    If you check in reliability history (control panel and search for reliability)

    Does it show and error for the Cumulative update?

Howdy, I have been trying to download and install Cumulative Update, Win 10, Version 1607 for x64-based systems (KB3189866) since Sept. 15 but so far I am coming up empty. I realize the help forums have been loaded with folks having the same...
Stuck at 95 percent, will it finish, been their for 6 and 1/2 hours... is their a way to download it manually? (pls is their a way to stop the download loop of 95 percent so I could download the update and manually do it, - well will try leaving...
Now I go to updates and I get this Error can any one help please Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3176495) - Error 0x80070015
