Download Problems with Cumulative Update Version 1607 (KB3189866) x64

seems to be stuck at 45% and cant get it to move past that point what so ever. was playing a game during the downloading phase then it just randomly stopped.

tried sfc/scannow as well as windows update troubleshooting and while it kinda work its really doesn't because when i go back to retry it searches for new updates but brings the same update back up and the bar is instantly at 45% like it never left!

any help would be appreciated!

Me too, first try stuck at 67%. Did a restart and check again, this time stuck at 45% ........... give up and left for work.

Mine is stuck at 45% also. I was able to install the update on 2 other PCs.

Mine is stuck on 47percent.stopped at 49percent first time then restarted but waiting an hour on second go at 47 percent.tried microsoft update catalog but site not working for me.

same here. First time it got stuck at 55%, then I aborted it and restarted. After that it got stuck at 45%. that was enough for me, so I downloaded the Update from the catalog and installed it. Done and Done..... no more problems...

Two of our machines updated fine automatically but a third one hung up at 56% over and over. I downloaded the update from the MS Catalog and manually installed it. After that Windows Update finished it's business and all is now fine.

I had the same problem with Windows Update KB3189866 (Windows 10 x64). It stuck at 45% during downloading. I solved the problem.
You can download Windows Update manually and manually apply them though the Windows Update Catalog website. Go to site: Microsoft Update Catalog with your Internet Explorer (starting from version 6 and up) browser. Even if you run Windows 10 this site will work just using Internet Explorer, no other browser. Search for KB3189866. Follow the downloading instructions. Once you have it on your PC run it and follow the instructions. After re-booting you'll have your PC updated. New OS Build 14393.187. When you run Windows Update again you'll see in the update history that KB3189866 is already installed and Windows Update is ready to search for new updates if available. ENJOY! :)

Had the same thing happen to both of my PC. Main PC stuck at 49% and laptop stuck at 47%...
