    Windows license will expire soon

    Hey,

So I've had windows installed on my computer around half a month already and now, everytime I boot up my computer, it says "Windows license will expire soon". But when I go to the Activation part in the Settings menu, this is what I see:

    Any ideas?

Somehow you have a volume license of Windows 10 that has been activated through a KMS server. When this happens, your copy of Windows must "check in" with the KMS server it activated on every few months. You start receiving this message after a period of time with no access to the KMS server.

I don't know. I have the Windows 10 Professional Edition. I didn't install it through the free upgrade. I downloaded the image from the Microsoft website, put it in a pen and installed from root through that.

Post a screenshot of slmgr.vbs /dlv run from command prompt.

Sometimes Windows says activated when in fact it's in the grace period... having said that, I haven't heard of a Pro VL key being installed automatically (there was such an issue with Home on 10240 doing this, however)

PS: When you say installed through root, you mean running setup.exe from within th eold OS? In that case, how was that activated and from where did that install media originate?
