Yeah - Windows 7 onwards knows about SSDs in the Disk Optimize tool.

Like Countmike said, all the user might have to do is Click his TURN ON button at bottom, in the screenshot he shows in msg #6 Might be just that simple.

CountMike, why should I turn auto optimisation on?

I do not want auto optimisation.

I want to do it myself when I want.

    Any other suggestions anybody?

One reason would be to test if it works at all and if you'd be able to do it manually after that.

It lets me set auto optimisation but I do not think it will work because in Optimise Drives it still states Optimisation not available.

Please note I did not have this problem before I updated to Windows 10 Anniversary version.

It would not hurt to run enable command again: fsutil behavior set DisableDeleteNotify 0

I have tried every thing but after Windows 10 Anniversary Update I cannot Trim any SSD and all state Optimisation Not Available.

Anybody have any other ideas other than those already mentioned as nothing seems to work.

    Thank you.

You could try it manually and see what it says... Perhaps it will report some error.

defrag /c /h /o will run the correct optimization (/o) on all attached volumes (/c) at normal priority (/h)
    Code:
    C:\Windows\system32>defrag /c /h /o
