    Windows 10 automatic updates

Windows is automatically updating my drivers even though I have disabled the automatic drivers updating in the Device Installation Settings. The problem is windows is automatically installing Realtek HD audio drivers and since I use a sound card "Sound Blaster Z" this is causing me problems. How can I make it stop?

Have a look at this tutorial. I have an Nvidia driver update hidden using WUshowhide.

Hello WinKuser, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

In addition, you would want to also use the tutorial below to disable including drivers in Windows Update.

It didn't work. The realtek driver is not shown on the list so I can't hide it.

For some reason my Windows can't find the "Local Group Policy Editor"

EDIT: I've used the reg. file. Hopefully it will work.

Since you use Creative Sound Blaster for audio have you tried going into device manager and disabling the Realtek audio device? It may not update the driver if the device is disabled.

I haven't thought of that. On my next restart I'll try this out.
