Sad.... so many people reporting failures with this update. I'm one of them. Only way I could make it work was to download an ISO from MS and fresh install Win10. Luckily the ISO was the current 1607 build....

I didn't upgrade via WU, I downloaded the 1607 ISO file and did a clean install. The only problem is Samsung Magician with an unsigned driver that reports the SATA connections. Event viewer throws up an error saying that this driver is unsigned and MS won't load it.
I won't hold my breath waiting for Samsung to sort that one out.
So, apart from a few Dcom errors (now sorted) 1607 runs fine. I can understand the frustration of those that are having big problems with their upgrades but, there are so many different combinations of hardware and software and to get everything right can be a nightmare.

I don't recall win7 having these issues, sys admins throughout the world rejoiced i think, and this was down to excellent driver support. Hell even win 8 worked.

I've installed the AU on 9 machines so far, there have been a couple of small issues but, for the most part, all 9 updated very cleanly. I didn't use an ISO to do a clean install of the update on any of them.

The biggest issue I encountered was on a Dell laptop that came from the factory with Win 10. After the update, the wifi adapter would no longer see any networks to connect to. I had to plug in an Ethernet cable and update the wifi driver to get it working again.

This is the issue so many are having and unable to pinpoint the error.
Do you know the make of the wifi card, the driver/provider in 1511 and the driver/provider in 1607

It is an Intel wifi card, not sure of the model. The latest driver from the Dell website worked fine for the AU.
