Windows 10 not activated?

    Windows 10 not activated?


    I upgraded my computer nearly a year ago from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. It has been and is currently working great. On a lark today , I checked My PC properties and it says Windows is not activated!

    What is going on? Everything is working just fine. Wasn't sure if I should click on the link to Activate Windows or if that will create some other problem.

    It is an HP laptop with no hardware changes.

    What should I do?

    Start by opening a command prompt (admin), right click on the start icon and it is one of the choices in the list. In the window, run:
    Slmgr /dlv

    Post the results here and it might help us figure out what is wrong.

    Well, I checked it again today and now it shows that it is activated. Not sure what was up yesterday. Maybe a glitch in the MS servers?
