Windows 10: Help with updates
Help with updates
Isit fine not to update at all? Been using 10 for more than a week now. And i notice it has not been updating at all. Should i set it to auto update or ignore it and use normally?
And when i try to update it got stuck at 46%...Since yesterday... today when i turn my PC its still at this screen.. What should i do?
Did you do anything to stop the updates, they are set to auto by default ? Did you restart computer at all since it started updating ?
Actually problem could be related to issues with MS servers.
I would delete all files in c:\windows\softwaredistribution folder and check for updates again.
Yesterday i just click to check for update. Then it started to download updates and got stuck at this screen above. I turn it off after waiting like 1 hour. Today when i on it, its still remain on this screen. When i try to update again.
Then i tried this...
Now i got this screen.....
My question now is should i just leave it like this from now on? Or do i have to come and check for updates regularly?
I have it like that and check every morning or if I hear about it from someplace else. I'm on insider ring so it's even more important to me.
Is there any way to turn off update so i can do it manually when i want to?
No there isn't any way to turn off updates completely, just workarounds that might work for what you want.

How do you set it to manual?
I have done 3 clean installs. It said it found 221 updates when I first checked, resatarted and it says I have only 6 updates installed and when I check for updates it says I am up to date, which I cannot be, with only 6 updates!!!
