    Program Files on different drive

    Hello.

I cannot complete installation of the aforementioned update, neither using Windows Update nor running the offline update installer (959.381.674 bytes). After restarting; when the "Preparing Windows" screen appears, it does nothing and reboots (no percentage shown). It says "we cannot complete installation, reverting changes" after that.

It seems I am not alone in this: kb3172985 and 3174060 - Microsoft Community

    Any ideas?
If you have changed your default Program Files directory in the registry to a different drive, the updates will not install.

Thank you for posting this. I have been trying to figure out why my updates weren't installing for months now.
