    10041 Not Updating

I had to do a clean install of Win 10 preview and used a 10041 version. It is installed an working (I'm entering this from Win 10) but it will not update to newer versions.

I have it set for "Fast". There is no option to check for newer version.

From my understanding you need to update to 10061 from build 10049 and not 10041. All the updates have to be done in order.

It won't update to any version. When I check for updates, it finds nothing.

I would think you need to do a clean instillation of 10049 and then update to 10061. Not surprised that you can't update 10041 since it's an older build.

That was the only version available from Microsoft to download, two days ago. The built in update application should be able to update. 10041 has not expired.

I have just directly updated from 10041 to 10061 without issue. So I don't think you need to have build 10049 to update to 10061 though.

I am now on 10061. I found a 10049 ISO, downloaded and installed it and after installation the updates found the 10061 update. It installed over night.

If I hadn't found the 10049 ISO I would still be stuck on 10041 until Microsoft issued an updated version.

I'm on the slow track, and still on build 10041.
There have been two attempted updates (automatic) that failed. The latest was, I think, 10071 (or something similar).
That came just now, tried to install twice, and failed, giving me a black screen. In the end I did a hard shut down, and got a message that the update had failed, and I had been restored to 10041.
What should I do? Where can I find the builds I am missing etc?
