For some reason when I update to the Cumlative update windows 10 (KB3156387) it gets stuck at 44% and then uninstalled the update.
I see on other forums it works for some & others it does not.
Any solution?
Block the update so that it does not keep reinstalling. Some of the updates when they have problems, will end up being pulled by Microsoft. If you have any type of Third Party Security software running, disable it and then manually try and install the update in Safe Mode (Press and hold F8 or F11 as soon as you power up the computer to make the loader stop and give you the choice for Safe Mode) . Since it is a Cumulative update. It could be one of the packages rolled into it that is the issue.
You also need to send the CBS.log to the One Drive link in this post (Common Issue #3: KB3156421 or KB3156387 failing to install and rolling back); that those handling this month's issue and last month can look into why some systems are failing to install this month's cumulative update. Cheers & thanks for the fast replies. I have blocked the update & I will try installing via safe mode, if no go then onto post #3's suggestion.
Just make sure you make a backup of the OS before you do. I run EaseUS ToDo backup on the desktop I run 10 on for testing purposes. It is a plain vanilla install with just Windows Defender running, Firewall turned off.
I would still send the CBS.log before you do anything, so that they can see the before, in case the update does happen to get fixed. All of these problems are being tracked so that they can get them ironed out before Redstone rolls out in November.
I can't get the update manual via the Microsoft Update Catalog website. I am using the latest IE & have the security setting also set to the suggested settings.

There is the IT side of Microsoft that you can download them with Chrome or Firefox as MSI's. They also have the Rollups as ISO to br able to copy to a stick.
