cant update to preview 10041 error 0x80070003

everytime i try to try to update to build 10041 i keep getting a error 0x80070003.

i have tried to run the windows update troubleshooter and it says service registration is missing or corrupt"
also tried 2 times deleting the C:\$Windows.~BT folder and the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore and C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folders and redownloading the update and the same error occurred.
i even tried using a app called esd-decrypter to convert the install.esd to a iso format and update by mounting the iso and clicking update. that results in a "something has happened" error
    anything i can do?

I get a different error number. I've also tried three different ESD files but no joy. Not much one can except wait for an official release of an ISO from MS. On the bright side, this might not be the best of builds.

I have the same problem only with error code: 0x80070005. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Have you tried sfc /scannow maybe this will help repair some troublesome files?

This is apparently an Access Denied error, are you an administrator on the machine?

If you are an Administrator and that doesn't help then maybe follow the commands on this support article - Error 0x80070005 in Windows Update when you try to install updates

I've tried the SFC but it stops at 3%. Even tried some fixes that use your ISO to supposedly fix SFC problems but nothing changed for me anyway.

Now I have the same problem with a new error code: 0x80240024. This update process is really messed up.

See this post and just download the iso like I did, it's clean I checked it and then installed then checked it again with Malwarebytes and Defender and MRT. Just download unzip to USB thumbdrive and either click the setup.exe to upgrade or boot to it for a clean install.
