................The 14328 was on the laptop I'm using to build the iso.
The problem desktop PC still sits with 14316...................................
Are both the laptop and the desktop running the SAME Win 10 Edition, Language and Bit version ?
Thanks for catching that.
The laptop is "Home" and the problem desktop is "Pro".
I'll have to get a PC with 10-Pro on it to get the right ESD.
Just a suggestion........................
Go back to your desktop, the one with the problem.
Is the Install.esd still found under Sources folder ?
If yes, use it to convert to an iso file > then burn it to a bootable media.
Use the media to do a Clean Install.................... make sure you backup files you want to keep first.
I am speculating that a Clean Install will sort things out and hence enable the system to download and install new insider preview build.
So here's what I did. (Didn't give up)
Clean installed my W-7 Pro.
Downloaded official 14295 iso converted to USB (Rufus) and installed.
Everything works except now update says:
There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help:
Windows 10 Insider Preview 14332 - Error 0x80240031
Just found an official iso download for 14332 so I'm going to clean install and let anyone who's interested know what happens.
Pete (Brink would be proud of me)
Microsoft has yet to release Insider Preview build 14332 ISO to the public.
What you have found from the websites are NOT from Microsoft and therefore NOT "Official".
I am not saying the iso is no good. I am saying it is not released by Microsoft and therefore cannot be classified as an Official release of 14332 ISO.

sure looked official to me.
No problem.
I was somewhat surprised to find it.
Now I have to clean the drive, getting the old "windows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style"
I'll get back when I've got this up and running.
