Can't update windows

Hi, I'm trying to do windows update on a pc that has been offline in some time. At first a normal update process began and then the pc needed a restart. After the restart the windows version is not fully updated and windows shows that more updates are available (see screenshot) but no update seems to happen.
It says a restart has been scheduled but I have manually restarted 10+ times now and the same screen always appears in windows update telling me the same update is needed.
Any ideas?

Did you click on the "Restart now" button in your screenshot?

If so, then you might see if resetting Windows Update may help.

Yes I used that button to restart, I'm trying the reset thing now. thanks!

I had exactly the same problem, ran this upgrade (1511) through Media Creation Tool (I used "Upgrade this PC" option) and that sorted out the problem.
