I did absolutely nothing EXCEPT installed the latest service pack to SQL Server 2014 on Friday. When I came in on Monday and went to settings the dreaded message was gone and now I can edit everything I need to. I don't understand it but hey it is fixed...can't complain
Guess what...it is back. It just came back. I did just do a windows update and now when I go into settings the message is there again.
Note- I'm finding that periodically that message is appearing, I get rid of it using the above -it reappears.
As I've no idea why, I'm presently wondering if there's some way of automating the above...(!) - lacking any other idea at present.
Is this some new quirk? Related to a scheduled task?
