The AMD drivers were updated on 1/31, 2/19 and 2/20, all updated the same three files with an additional fourth file on 1/31.

    Hi there

This won't solve your immediate problem but sometimes it's time to say Goodbye to tech that doesn't work.

For example DAB Radio -- should be called DEAD AND BURIED -- the bit rate is a lot WORSE than FM !! especially if you like Clasical music -- current 128 /. 96 / even 48K !!! are used in DAB - those bit rates are HIDEOUS especially for that type of music.

DAB+ is a half hearted attempt to revive the DAB format but honestly the HD Internet streams are far superior.

AMD -- now we should call it A Monumental Disaster (AMD) -- CPU's not anything like as good as INTEL, NVIDIA graphics invariably causing problems etc.

I LIKE competition but AMD for me is an example of a company whose only future is to disappear gracefully from the market.

    Cheers

All kinds of posts in the Insider program including mine about graphics card problems after yesterday's AMD update. Some can't even boot up.

The latest updates from AMD for the Radeon HD 5450 are from December so I'd have to say that these problems are coming from changes made by MS.

Forget going to the AMD forum with problems with a four year old $20 graphics card, they'll laugh at you.

    Hi there

    As I said

    AMD = A M(onumental) D(isaster).

INTEL for all it's monopoly pretensions does actually WORK and I've never had any problems whether on Windows or Linux with INTEL chips or Graphics.

    Cheers

The Catalyst drivers have always been horribly bloated.. and their control applications have been ungodly slow and clunky.. nothing but problems for me every time I've ever used them.. usually I just stick with the basic drivers and don't install the catalyst drivers.

I agree.. AMD makes a nice processor and for the price/performance it's hard to beat.

    Hi there

There must be something "Strange" with my system -- I haven't had ANY problems with updates apart from the ONE time where Ms accidently had that "new " build on the update path.

I've found build 9926 the most compatible yet -- certainly no problems with any of the updates on my systems running W10 ( 3X ).

    Cheers

Build 9926 fixed all the problems I had with the last 2 builds. So far I haven't noticed any problems with the latest updates.
I agree with you both. I'm running build 9926 daily with a dozen of programs and games without a single problem. The impact of the updates over a specific system stability depends of a lot of variables, and fatally some systems may have problems. Anyway I hope they fix such issues as fast as possible.

AMD used to have excellent CPUs in the past and were very competitive. I wouldn't like to see it disappearing from the market.

I've not been into 10 for a few days so I opened my VM and started 10, I usually suspend the system after a session. The first thing I did was go check Windows Update and there were a few updates so I let them install.

Everything seemed to be OK but after they all installed OK I can no longer open IE, clicking on the icon brings up a box telling me there is an application error, can't remember all the numbers now but there were a lot of zeros and number 18 at the end.

I'm back in 8 now till I find a solution so if anyone's got any ideas can you let me know, this is the first time I've had any problems with updates on any of my OS's so was a but flummoxed.

AMD still makes excellent processors and my A4-4000 is great and I plan on getting an A10-6800K in March. From my experience AMD has never let me down and they're hard to beat for price/performance. Intel are also nice chips but the price is too high for me to afford.
