    We couldn't complete the updates (KB3135173)


    Hello,

    I tried installing update KB3135173. When I restarted after downloading the update, it gave me this message on the BIOS splash screen:

    Fatal Error C00000D4 applying update operation 872 of 50659 (InkDiv.dll)
    Then, when showing the Windows 10 start animation, it mentioned:
    We couldn't complete the updates
    Rolling back changes
    This happens everytime I (re)start the computer and it is kind of annoying.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi, just a thought. Check inkdiv.dll exists:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ink\InkDiv.dll

    Also (a wild guess) see if Settings, Speech, Inking and Typing shows anything odd.

    After that I'd suggest trying
    SFC /Scannow
    from an elevated (admin) command prompt and post result.
    (Windows key + X, click Command prompt (admin) )

    Yes, the file exists. I will start a sfc /scannow prompt now.
