When my PC starts up it runs BOOTIT, and I select the OS that I want to run. BOOTIT then changes the disk partition table so that the disk partitons (up to 4 per disk) that I have previously said that I want to use are made available to me. Any partitions that I have not selected appear as 'Unallocated' space in for example Windows 10 Computer Management/Storage/Disk Management.

Bootit then boots the partition that I have said that I want to boot.

    Thanks, that helps a lot.

You seem to be comfortable with BootIT, it is an unknown quantity for me.
I'll read up on BootIT and see if I think there is any real advantage to satisfy my curiosity. I rarely try to change the way people run their machine, unless there is something clearly wrong.

You might be interested to know that I also could not do an online update to build 10041 so I downloaded the esd file and made a bootable stick.

After seeing the issues some people have had with build 10041 it was with some trepidation that from build 9926 I ran the setup program on the stick. The upgrade took some time but did eventually work.

Windows Update now works, my Classic Shell start menu has been retained, and the taskbar is how I customised it. :) My AMD graphics drivers have been update several times and I may not now have the correct version, but I get a picture.

The only issue I have found it that when I click on the properties of my network adapter I get 'An unexpected error occured.' The adapter itself works.

Windows Update gives error code 0x80070057

I have tried DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /source:WIM:G:\sources\Install.wim:1 /LimitAccess with no success as Slartybart suggested.

I have problems with Windows 10 Anniversary Update have downloaded and created ISO.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

    Thank you.
