Still no luck. I have the log file of the dism failure, if this will help? Are their customers that are still waiting for Microsoft to update them to 1511 and I should just wait, or am I broken?
    Thanks for any assistance!

So, when you mounted the iso the 2nd time, it came up as D: drive? I see you used D: as the drive path for the DISM command. First mount was F: but 2nd mount was D:?

If it mounted as F: the 2nd time, that certainly would explain your error message.

    Hello Wordman,
Thank you for your assistance. I redid the tutorial and managed to get it with *.wim. Below is the display.

It seems to show that the downloaded version is 10240. IIRC I downloaded the Windows 10 version. Can you be kind enough to suggest a course of action?
    Appreciatively yours,

Attempting to redo the upgrade. I redownloaded the Media Creation Tool. When run, it has the options to upgrade this pc now or create installation media for another pc. This PC is windows 10 Pro 10240.
When I choose the Create installation media for another PC it defaults to English/Windows 10 and 64-bit (x64). The Use recommended options for this PC is checked.
I am downloading this version again in the hopes that it will know that I have Windows 10 Pro. I guess I'll try the dism command on it once it is done downloading. Fingers crossed.

As you are using MCT, you will get an iso that has install.esd in the sources folder, NOT an install.wim. In that case, I suggest you simply mount the iso, right click the setup.exe, select Properties and then look at the details tab for the version number. Should look something like this (red rectangle highlight is mine):

Depending on your prior upgrade history and product keys stored, it may present a Home upgrade install instead of Pro. In that case, there are solutions to that problem that can be discussed if need be.

You mean upgrading to 1511. Simply put:

Open file explorer, locate the .iso file, right click on the file and select and click "Mount" (if it's no longer mounted since you mounted it to check the properties of setup.exe), then select the drive letter (in left panel) that the iso mounted as (this will be a new drive letter that wasn't there before). Double click the "setup.exe" file that you will find in the root of that drive - that should get you on your way. Let us know how it goes.
