Can't update to windows 10 Pro, version 1511

I installed Windows 10 around the time it came out, much to my delight I faced no problems with it, but now after reading about this 'November Update' that touts many of the features I wanted back. I read on Microsoft's own site that to get the update I would have to of had Windows 10 for 31+ Plus days e.g. a day over the time limit to go back to Win 8.1 or 7. It's long past the 31 days but the "Go back to Windows 7" is still there?

I'm not sure why you are looking in the recovery settings for the update. If you haven't gotten it through windows update you can use this tutorial to get an iso of the update. Windows 10 ISO Download - Windows 10 Forums .

I am not looking in the recovery settings for the update I am trying to get rid of the option to go back to Windows 7 so that the update will come in.

That has nothing to do with getting a new update. You get a new update through either windows update or you can use either of the two links in the above tutorial to get the update.

Sorry, I was under the impression that Microsoft pulled the download version and that it was only available thru windows update and that the Go back option in the recovery settings had to disappear in order for windows update to download it.

No, they put it back in a few days later. The easiest way is to use option two of the tutorial. The Media Creation Tool and use upgrade this computer. Keep all apps and files if it asks.
