Cumulative Update KB3116900 December 08 th.
Hi,
Maybe, but when I ran disk cleanup I deleted all previous installation etc.. files, so maybe that weird update does not find the appropriate file or registry key(s) to update/modify. I tried on one system where b.10240 was not removed and it installed ok, on 2 other systems with b.10240 removed it failed. After this, restored a full system image backup and hid the update in question.
As long as my settings were preserved, I do not mind if this update is installed or not.
B/R,
Hi,
I've mentioned it before but my settings weren't preserved on at least two occasions I can recall. As long as my settings were preserved, I do not mind if this update is installed or not.
I set that straight manually and never have been offered this update. Simply because I think WU spotted this.
Cheers,
I just don't get his reference to it? I guess he means the backup of that build in the Windows.old folder? I am well aware of what build 10240 is and 10586.xx. I just got 3 updates today, still no KB3122947 offered or listed in my update history. It's obviously not applicable to my system. I'm now at 10586.29.
Hi all,
I have fixed Error 0x80070643 for the Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3122947) by running the following in the admin cmd:
dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\c4a1b8896ce9fbfea96c1ee6890d52a5\windows10.0-kb3122947-x64.cab
After running the command above the update seem to have disappeared but I am having the same error (Error 0x80070643) while trying to install Security Update for Microsoft Silverlight (KB3106614).
Does anyone else experience this?
Winver tells me that I have Windows 10 Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.29)
Thank you in advance!
