Now if they can just fix the networking that has caused many to not be able to see some machines on the networking. PCs that magically appear and disappear from the network, etc.

Did you first make sure the .cab file actually exists where it's supposed to and then run Command Prompt "as administrator"?

Same here but it has tried and failed several times. I ran Windows Update Diagnostics and it says service registration is missing or corrupt. WTF.

    Just found this

Glad that the CMD way is also working for you guys.
But we shouldn't need to use it!

The update failed on all three of my computers (at least W10 was consistent for a change). But like the little engine that could, it keeps trying. Over, and over, and over.

All running Intel processors, all 32-bit OS on 64-bit chassis. Home version, English. About as Plain-Jane a version of the OS as can be found. If MS can't hit it, it is only hitting the others by pure luck since those are what its in-house developers and testers are running.

I am waiting for the update that makes all my software obsolete so I have to rent from Redmond. It is probably already in development. I keep hoping W10 will straighten up and fly right, but I dearly regret having erased all my W7 images whilst having a moment of idiocy. I'm a software developer myself, but at some point even I get tired of all the "fun" W10 is for me.

    I think MS better Lawyer-up.

Apparently, because it wasn't installed via the normal full-blown Windows Update process. If you follow link to uninstall updates, you should see it on the list.
