Windows 10: Unable to update to Windows (KB3120677) Solved

    Unable to update to Windows (KB3120677)


    Did a search for (KB3120677)

    I'm unable to update to Windows (KB3120677)

    It gets to 52% then says "We could not complete the update"

    Then it removes what was installed

    I tried to manually install it by downloading it from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3120677 ,It appears to install , but upon the required Restart No luck get the same "We could not complete the update" at 52%

    This is on a Dell Inc. XPS 8700,Windows 10 (x64(build 10586)),3.40 gig Intel Core i7-4770,Board: Dell Inc. 0KWVT8 A02, 24 Megabytes Memory,2TB Hard Drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT 635 [Display adapter]

    Under Settings > updates >advance option > view update history > it says "Failed to install update"

    Using Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3120677)

    Tried a number of times restarting and turning off the PC No Luck

    Any Ideas or help ??
    reason for edit forgot I had a 2TB HD

    No I have about 1.75 TB free [ forgot I had a 2TB HD ]

    Just a FYI = I did a System Restore and then did a manual install of (KB3120677)from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3120677 since I had it already.

    That worked
