    build 10.0.10586


    why is my computer still showing build 10.0.10586 after installing all updates I even re installed 10240 and updated again with media creation tool my computer is activated but has never shown build 10586.3 or 10586.11 or 10586.14 this is very confusing windows update seems to be a reincarnation of vista maybe time to go back to windows 8.1 at least it functioned propperly.all help welcomed many thanks

    You need to check for updates. The cumulative patches increase the number after the 10586.nn - the media creation tool just gives you 10586.0.

    Go to your Windows Update and install the following 2 Cumulative Security Updates:
    KB3118754 which will give you 10586.11
    KB3120677 will bring you up to date with 10586.14.
