    Trouble using windows update

Hello, I have HP ab219tx laptop, pre-loaded with windows 10 Home single language, build 10240.

just a few days ago, i got a notification about a new build i.e. 10586. I downloaded it, and every time it says failed to install. Also, it downloads in various location each time.

    1st was C:\$Windows.~BT
    2nd was in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads\<some hex named folder>

    Heres the screenshot:

is it because of the HP OEM stuff?

lets say i convert the ESD file (which is in the hex named folder) to ISO and then boot it, will i lose my OEM branding? e.g. the hp boot logo instead of generic windows boot logo and other stuff?

If i boot the ISO file, will the update take place just like in android,

can i be sure that it will NOT remove my current win10 with OEM and replace it with generic windows 10 build 10586?

    Is it bug?

will it go after a factory reset?

Is it an issue related to some services that i may/may not have disabled?

At this point, i feel like i have doubts but i dont know what they're. Could anyone explain all possible outcomes?

P.S. I'm familiar with booting soft-bricked PC into windows.

It will continue until you will be presented with the option to cleanup, no need to terminate.
