They are not pushing the 10586 through Windows Update any more. At least not until they decide to turn it on again, and we have no indication when that might be. If you want 10586, quit being stubborn, download it from one of the few Microsoft sources left and install it! Windows Update is nothing special. Or you can remain stubbornly on build 10240.
MS has said they are doing it threw windows update only, they have pulled the update from every were else but windows update. that is what i read this morning on there blog.
I think you're correct about that.
The current status of v. 1511, according to BetaNews website (seems to confirm what others have been saying):The November update was originally available via the MCT (Media Creation Tool), but the company decided that future installs should be through Windows Update. People can still download Windows 10 [Build 10240] using the MCT tool if they wish. The November update will be delivered via Windows Update.
Microsoft has not pulled the Windows 10 November 10 update. The company is rolling out the November update over time -- if you don’t see it in Windows Update, you will see it soon.
I think the 1511 download is back up at the TechBench. I just downloaded it.
Tech Bench
The file is: Win10_1511_English_x64.iso
Thing, is I really don't want to have to muck about with other tools if the updates are supposed to come via Windows update.
Still haven't been offered it.
