OS build number and version after update

Well, I haven't received it yet. Have any of you received it?
Received the upgrade yesterday with numerous pauses during the download. This one takes a while, and is, visually, much the same as before. Let us hope that we get a smoother, less buggy product. BTW, check your settings after because some default programs and privacy settings have been changed away from where they were on my computer.

If I use the Media Creation Tool, will all of my settings be intact? Also, will I have to enter my product key again? Is this Media Creation Tool the current Windows 10 version?

I am just using this now for the update
If you select the first option, it will just upgrade to latest version, the same as Windows Update would do

That would be version 1511 and build 10586 instead.

I'm glad to hear it's downloading for you now.

Thanks for the correction, Brink. Mine is installing features and drivers now. It says it's updating Windows. At least it doesn't say its upgrading, since I have already upgraded to Windows 10. I still have 2 other computers that need the latest Windows 10 Fall Update installed. I may wait and see if they have an update this afternoon, this evening, or tomorrow. If not, I will create an ISO to do update them then.

"This week, Microsoft delivered both an update -- Tuesday's set of 12 security bulletins -- and an upgrade, the latter in the form of Windows 10 1511. What Myerson described as an update was actually an upgrade by Microsoft's nomenclature, the first for the OS since its July debut, the first also for the Current Branch (CB), the upgrade track assigned to virtually all consumers, many small businesses, and those enterprises that want some PCs on the bleeding edge." Windows 10 refresh: Its an upgrade, not an update | Computerworld
